20th left V. le G_ crossing Belgian
border at 1.20 P.M. and just across
saw our first chickens country
noticeably cleaner and free from
wars ravages. Ecouvier, Virton
Ethe, 18 K. hike. Spent night in
Chauteau Leclaireau. Count DeBriey
Gov. of Province -- arriving after dark.
Well treated and great bed, beauti --
ful place.
21" left 1.30 P.M. for Arlon. On previous
day saw many houses that had been
fired by Huns and heard horrible
tales of their military rule.
Reached Arlon about 5 P.M. a place
whose inhabitants had suffered cruelly
at hands of Huns -- more than 400 civil-
ians of this neighborhood had been
shot. many taken for factory work.
Weather cold but clear.
Out of Arlon 22" where we had been 
royally received and treated on hike
to Hobscheid-Lux. Beautiful winding
road along base of hills. fairly good
billets here. 
Off 2 P.M. 23" for Kruchten, following
valley - a most beautiful trip. 
Everything has typical Ger. appearance
Good quarters and fair mess. 
25" Rain. 1" since 17", days very short
about dark 3.30.
Remained here till Dec. 1", leaving at 
1.30 P.M. for Ferstweiler across Ger.
border going over bridge at Wollen
dorf at 8.00 P.M. lovely road thru
beautiful narrow valley. 
Spent one night here up at 5 a.m. 
& walked 3 K down hill to where
outfit was camped, leaving for 
Oberweis, trip to this point by
far most beautiful yet.
Established hosp. in school-house
and had good quarters.
Here from 3-5" finished evacuating
patients at noon. leaving for
Gerolstein via Bittburg via Prum
arriving 2 P.M. Barracked in 
Schloss Brunen Bottling works.
