joined forces out on the piazza & I
tried to make him go in the Polo, but
he wouldn't wealthy. [?] joined us soon, but
almost immediately I had to go to meet
Cousin Lizzie & Cousin Walter. [?]
said hadn't seen me at the club
the last two months that I hadn't been
hustling [or bustling] off to meet a train. I walked
down & reached the ferry some time
before they were due. Father joined me
later, & we waited for the ferry. Finally
they came & we were more than
glad to see them. we were home all
evening hearing all the latest news
from Boston, & telling them all our
items of interest.
