was sold out, when truth to tell, we

played to a very slim house, and 

in the matter of boxes, any number

of men wanted them, Will Chadwick

among others, and were told that they

were all sold for every night. It was

true of the lower ones, but the upper

ones were vacant every night but the

last one. There was a screw loose

somewhere and we can't account

for it. The meeting was over quite

quickly, so E + I went down to the 

Academy to help Miss Stewart decorate 

the pony carriages for the afternoon 

performance. Mrs. [Relyea?] and a 

friend of Miss Stewart's were also

there, as it was all finished a little

after twelve. When we reached home,

we found Margaret and Evelina 

had arrived, and we immediately 

launched forth on the Kirmess 

news. In the afternoon we four and

Cornelia were going to the matinee, 

and just as we started, a telephone

message from Uncle Emmet, brought

had again been decided in their

favor. Needless to day, Father was

delighted, and so were we all. As
