Very hot & sultry again. Went
to Miss Dorsey's for a shampoo
this a. m. Marnie took brother,
Mary, the M[?] & I to the
Best tonight. The picture
was very good. At last I had
a letter from Ida A[?]
Wenesday, July 17, 1918
Got up at 6:15. Took a big pot of
coffee to the canteen. Marnie
& I served breakfasst. Had about
30. I surely love to do it.
I feel as if this way we have
a small part in the war.
The rest of the day & evening
I spent with Mary. She
doesn't like to have me away.
