This collection includes letters and documents written in languages other than English. Acquired through donation and purchase, they are used extensively by professors and students to support the teaching and research mission of William & Mary and provide exposure to handwritten primary source documents in languages other than English. The purpose of transcribing these documents is not a translation, but the creation of a typed version to facilitate translation and support text mining projects.
