Text of newspaper article Fehr to Direct Last Yule Effort Times-Dispatch State Staff Williamsburg - This year will mark the 29th Christmas concert by the College of William and Mary choir and chorus and the final holiday concert for director Dr. Carl A. "Pappy" Fehr before his retirement next summer. This year Fehr will direct 176 singers as well as 55 musicians of the college-community symphony orchestra in selections from Handel's "Messiah," Dec.11-13 in Phi Beta Kappa Memorial Hall, nightly at 8:15. The program will include the entire Christmas portion of the "Messiah," Fehr said, along with other selections from parts two and three.
