for several days, and  after

much persuasioin, consented 

that afternoon to have some

one.  The woman had been 

there but a little while, had 

got her up stairs in bed, and 

went down stairs for something

and when she went back 

found her dead.  Frank Procter's 

mother was burned a few 

days ago so badly that she died.

Mrs. Davis had been out of the 

room but a little while and 

coming back found the flames 

streaming up to her head.  She 

went to get something near the 

stove and her dress took fire. 

She was in great distress for 

two or three hours, but the docter 

gave her something that made 

her sleep and she lay so until

she died. I have got to anser

three other letters and must 

colse.  Give my love to Aunt Susan 

and the children.  [?]
