FEBRUARY 7

1945  What a day!  Classes and working

on Seminar took up most of the

time – and then Margo and Eddy

took Beth and me to the Coffee

Shoppe for supper: - very pleasant!

I came back; dressed, and went

to the U.S.O to spend 2 hours

playing bridge with several

sailors.  It was fun, and I

enjoyed it.

When I came back, I found

that Bill had called me.  He

phoned again and I decided

that if it’s all right with

Mother and Dad, I’ll take the

chance of going home Friday,

whether he’ll still be there or

not.  It’s worth the risk: - I

phoned Mother and she seemed

grudgingly approving; I’ll get the

verdict tomorrow!
