1945 Another pleasant day
spent quietly at the Lodge with
Mother. Cary was with us most of
the day and then Beth, Elaine
and Louise came up for
dinner. We had a grand time
just talking.
Biggest shock came when
Gladys Boyd called – visions
of all sorts of Government Messages
[Rached?] through my mind – but
it was just cuz they hadn’t
heard from Bill in over 3 weeks.
