AUGUST 18
The day was spent in plans and
preparations for tomorrow’s cocktail
party, as we bought liquor and last
minute hors d’oevres fixin’s, and
[sat?] down to the preliminaries. There’s
a lot of work to it all: but tis
fun at the same time.
We stayed quite awhile at the
hospital talking about the present
and future. Dad seems to be
so upset mentally and emotionally,
all the time, confusion!
Jack Hoffman stopped by to say
he’s coming tomorrow, but I hadn’t
come home yet.
