SEPTEMBER 23
A pleasant Sunday --- started out
by going to church with Audrey
and Jack. I got such a kick out
of being with them --- such a cute
young married couple.
After church, I settled down to
my weekly correspondence and then
Mother and I went to Michel’s for
a delicious midday dinner --- and
so on to the hospital. A real
pleasant surprise came when
Aunt Mary and Uncle Art arrived
on the scene with cousins
Ruth -- and Bernie, who is 6’ 4½”
tall, every inch of which is smooth.
He’s a returned hero navigator
from the ETO and awaits his
discharge with 109 points and all
sorts of impressive medals. He’s
a marvelous guy -- too bad he’s
wasted on being a cousin!
