OCTOBER 1

A new month again! -- This

year, so full of a number of things,

is flying past!

The day at work was non-

descript and I’m kind o’ tired.

Eleanor phoned at the office;

Gloria, Marian and I had

lunch neath the Associated Press

Building; but otherwise the

gum survey passed quickly.

I went to the hospital as

always and then Mother and I

stopped at the Hettler’s for

a pleasant chat.

A darling letter from Jim, who

expects a discharge Feb. or March,

one from Freddie; and a potent

one from Bill, who doesn’t think

he’ll be home before mid-winter

himself.  Things are looking up

though!
