OCTOBER 7
This has been a rainy, unattractive
Sunday, with the World Series having
paramount position in the news fare;
but for all that, it’s a Red Letter
day, for after 18 weeks of being
hospital-bound, we finally brought
Dad home so that we can see
life outside of the venerable St.
John’s institution. Of course it’s
good to have him home, but
we’re disappointed that he
hasn’t arrived in a healthier
condition.
Once home, I settled down to
writing letters all afternoon.
Mother, Liz and I had a
delicious lunch at Maison
Duarte’s in Jamaica – very
good!
