Just as my morale headed
towards new and greater depths
of despair my lucky star de-
cided to shine again! – and
I beam with it!
This eve as I was heading
for the HGC meeting, the front
doorbell rang: and to my
complete surprise when I
opened it --- there was Jim!
He’s home on a 30 day furlough
and looked smooth --- in
civvies snuck on for the
occassion! He stayed till
past one -- we talked and
laughed and stuff and drank
bourbon and ginger ale. He’s
a good guy; and I glow!
A long perk-ish letter from
Bill Brennan --- heading towards
Japan! When they’re all home ----- !
