DECEMBER 6
Once more my morale took a
drooping spree at the thought of an
unsociable December and Yuletide
season - – - and then the powers
that be smiled benevolently on me
again and life is really terrific.
The reason for the new mellow-
ness is a surprise letter from
Bill which was not only satisfactory
as to general tone, but which
also included the too-good-to-be-
true news that he’s scheduled
to leave France on or about
December twentieth to come
Back Home for Keeps!! Though he
probably won’t be here for the
holidays, he’ll be here a month
from now any way – and I
beam steadily. Tis almost
too good to be true.
