DECEMBER 8
Danny stayed here this morning
and we chatted some more until
time for him to take the 10:59 train.
The rest of the day passed quietly
as I began to nurse the first
traces of a cold. This evening I
went to bed early and reread some
of Bill’s old letters.
A letter from Floyd said he
should be home at holiday time.
He expected to leave Japan the first
of the month. What fun if he
and Bill get here at the same
time -- and there’s every chance
that they will. My sins are
catching up with me!
