The day at work improved, but
I took the afternoon off as my
half-day for Christmas shopping. I
met Mother in Brooklyn and saw
Claudette Colbert and Don Ameche in
“Guest Wife,” corny, but pleasantly
amusing too. Afterwards, we had a
bite in Schrafft’s and then did
some Christmas shopping. We met
Dad and came on home.
