DECEMBER 24
I’m amazed that this actually is
Christmas Eve! --- and a fairly satisfactory
one it was too. At 12:30 Lou drove up to
whisk me off for lunch at the Forest
Hills Inn with her and Kay. It was
pleasant reunion and awfully nice!
Today brought a great many
wonderful Christmas cards --
and two short, but very nice
letters from Bill, in which things
seem generally to be on the upgrade
once more. --- and I’m happy! It
looks as though he’ll be home
by February yet!
