MEMO SCHEDULES THE WILLIAM AND MARY CHOIR -- Fall 1973 Because a large number or members of the Choir and the Chorus have expressed a desire, interest and enthusiasm to sing the MESSIAH from memory, we shall attempt this goal. With a little added efforts and dedication, I am confident that we can reach this ambition. Besides the fact that our performances will be presented with greater precision, better dynamics and diction, and a very striking appearance, each of you can be proud that singing the MESSIAH from memory is achieved by very few, if any other groups in our country or elsewheres. Let's give forth an honest effort and try to reach an admirable achievement! Memory Goals Mon Oct 29 -- 1 And the glory of the Lord 2 And He shall purify Wed Oct 31 -- 3 O thou that tellest 4 For unto us a Child is born 5 Glory to God in the highest Fri Nov 2 -- 6 His yoke is easy 7 Behold the Lamb of God 8 Surely He hath borne our griefs Mon Nov 5 -- 9 And with His stripes we are healed 10 All we like sheep Wed Nov 7 -- 11 Lift up your heads 12 Their sound is gone out 13 Hallelujah Chorus Fri Nov 9 -- 14 Since by man came death 15 Worthy is the Lamb Mon Nov 12 -- 16 Blessing and honour, glory and power AMEN!! After we have followed the above schedule, we will continue to work on those Choruses which need more attention. Sun Nov 18 -- Rehearsal of Chorus/Choir/Orchestra -- All from memory! ***ITEM NO. 8 === Memo Schedule === A "Memo Schedule" will be issued soon after we resume rehearsals. It is impossible for us to learn all the music in regular rehearsals. Each Choir member will be expected to do some outside practice and to attend the necessary special rehearsals. Therefore, let us make plans to attend all extra rehearsals.
