At places we sing, watch where you smoke - if you must smoke. 7. There will be rotation on sitting in the aisle on the bus - all rotate. Schedule to be announced. On the bus do not sing so much as to tire your voice. Do not become obnoxious. 8. Each one must observe curfew instructions. You must be rested for the concerts. 9. Follow an intelligent and mature schedule right now so that you will be in good physical condition for the trip. 10. No chewing of gum during the concerts. 11. Be respectful and cooperative with your hosts and hostesses. Be cordial, sociable, polite, and express your appreciation for kindnesses shown you. 12. When we stay in motels and hotels, act dignified. No one is to take "souvenirs" such as towels, etc. which you may desire to pilfer. -- When we arrive at a motel or hotel and while we are there, be quiet and do not make a spectacle of yourself. Let's act as ADULTS. -- No phone calls outside of the hotel from rooms are to be made. Use pay phones in the lobby. 13. All must pitch in to set up risers, to unload and to load risers on bus. There are never any exceptions! 14. When we hold brief rehearsals in concert halls, you must be quiet, cooperative, and respectful. You must not talk and you must be attentive. 15. Please smile when we appear before our audience. Look as if you are happy and enjoy singing. 16. You must participate in and sing the music as taught and instructed. 17. If we make a mistake, do not discuss it with anyone who is not connected with the choir. We will correct mistakes - but let's not have any. 18. You must be ON TIME. Take along an alarm clock or two so that you will meet the schedule as designated. We will not "baby" you. You will be fined for tardiness and other irregularities. 19. Remember at all times on the trip we are representing The College of William and Mary, The Choir of the College of William and Mary, the Director of the Choir, and of greatest importance YOU are under observation by people who do not know you. 20. Each person may take a small suitcase and a garment bag. If you do not have name tags, please ask for them. 21. Your acceptance as a member of the Touring Choir carries along your acceptance of the rules and regulations of the Choir and the instructions as given by the Director of the Choir. 22. Let's have a fine and successful trip and let's maintain the high standards and principles for which our Choir is known. I have implicit and complete trust and faith in each one of you young ladies and gentlemen, and I know that the College will be proud of you.
