Heading (over 2 pages): Letters from two College Presidents Letter from President Thomas A. Graves Down right side of page: PRESIDENT GRAVES Dr. Carl A. Fehr, Director William and Mary Choir College of William and Mary Dear Pappy: A distinguished university is a reflection of the high quality and exceptional contribution of its faculty. You epitomize to me the very best that William and Mary has to offer. Through the skill of your teaching, the enthusiasm and joy of your love of music, and the special relationship of friendship and respect that you have with young people, you have had an influence for good and beauty in the education and lives of our students that is incomparable. And in the process you have brought to this College community and to a much broader community an appreciation of superb music and a delight in the highly artistic performances of your choir and chorus that put all of us in your debt. I personally am grateful for the generous opportunity that you have given to the Graves family to share in all that you have offered during the past three years. I only regret that I did not come to William and Mary earlier! Thank you for your gift of love and beauty to William and Mary over a long and distinguished career. Zoe joins me in all best wishes to you and Alice in the happy and relaxing years that lie ahead. Sincerely, [signature] Thomas A. Graves, Jr.
