William and Mary Choir Reunion Steering Committee Aggie Vassos, Chairman Dear Choir Alum, This is your second "unofficial" Alumni letter. I tell you this so that you do not confuse it with those that I send in collaboration with Pappy. As the day of our festivities draws nearer, I have more news to give you and some favors to ask of you. First of all, let me call your attention to the various enclosed items - the form, the blank sheet of paper, adn the envelope. Now to explain what they mean: 1. The form - This form constitues your final decision to attend the "Fehr-Well Fest." The information requested will be used in ordering the music, planning the buffet dinner and other functions where food will be provided, as well as reserving your place on the stage or in the audience for the closed activities on May 4th. The form also request the remittance of the registration fee. As noted, the costs are $10.00 per Choir Alum and $8.00 per non-Choir-Alum guest. This $2.00 distinction is made to allow for the cost of music which will be provided as one of the mementos of the occasion. The other $8.00 goes toward providing the buffet dinner, gifts for the Fehrs, the reception after the Saturday night program, and other personal mementos. Please note that the deadline for this response is April 1, 1974; however, an earlier response will insure that this matter is not forgotten. If, for some reason you are not able to attend the Reunion after having remitted your fee, your check will count as a contribution to the cause. In orther words, there will be no refunds. 2. The sheet of paper - The Steering Commitee feels that the principal gift presented to Dr. Fehr should be one that is personal and representative of the way we feel about his contributions to our lives through our associations with him as Choir members and friends. Therefore, we have decided upon presenting him with a bound volume of letters from you - the Alumni - commenting on his retirement and your remembrances of the Choir. This will give everyone of you the opportunity to express your personal appreciation to him in a permanent manner even though distances or other circumstances prohibit your attendance at the Reunion. The letters received will be arranged according to graduating class in an impressive, hand-tooled calfskin binding. In order to maintain a consistent appearance throughout the book, the following requirements are asked by the binder: a. Use only 8 1/2 x 11" paper - such as the enclosed sheet. b. Observe the following margins - 1 1/2" on left, 1" on right. c. You may write more than one page, but, write on one side only. Obviously, we wish this to be a surprise for Pappy. This brings me to the purpose of:
